termate busbarThe new range of prefabricated connection boxes from Termate greatly simplifies the provision of permanent or temporary interconnections between high power electrical systems, and completely eliminates the inconvenience, delays and cost associated with fabricating ad-hoc connection arrangements on site.

Ideal for applications such as linking switchboards or making connections to generator sets, the boxes are available in five versions with ratings up to 1,600 A. All versions use designs that have been verified by extensive testing and all are supplied with test certificates. Termate connection boxes are available on short deliveries at very competitive prices.

For currents up to 400 A, the boxes use stud-type terminals that are capable of accommodating cables of up to 240 mm2 cross-section per phase. For higher currents, up to 1,000 A, the boxes use 50 x 10 mm copper interconnects, and are suitable for use with cables up to 400 mm2. The largest boxes in the range, rated above 1,000 A, are typically configured to order and can be arranged to suit connections of all types, including busbar trunking and solid copper.

Standard connection boxes are fabricated from mild steel with a powder-coated RAL7032 finish, and have an IP65 ingress protection rating. Custom versions in all ratings are available to suit specific customer requirements, and can be supplied with stainless steel, ABS or GRP enclosures with ingress protection ratings up to IP68, tested by immersion at depths of up to 2 metres.
