The Siemens Industry Automation Division has expanded its Simatic HMI Comfort Panels for local machine operator control and monitoring to include devices with 15, 19 and 22 inch color displays.

Phoenix Contact rounds out its range of web-based operator panels with 10- and 15-inch versions. This means that more display area is available for visualizing basic applications.

The HG3G series of touchscreens, available from IDEC , are high definition TFT LCD displays with SVGA 800x600 pixels resolution.  With 65,536 colours available to provide realistic images and bright screen displays to provide clear and sharp quality even in low light environments.  The 8.4” comes with 600 cd bright screen and the 10.4” comes with 700 cd/m2 bright screen.

Lenze has extended its range of Windows CE based HMI’s with a miniature model that has a front panel size significantly smaller than a CD case. The new EL103 has dimensions of only 130 x 104 x 34 mm yet it is a full colour touchscreen TFT display with 320 x 240 pixel resolution. Options include a Soft-PLC that creates a truly economic control solution. The EL103, part of a range of HMI’s that extends to 10.4”, is ideal where visualisation and operation is needed directly at the operator station. It can replace larger text displays previously used on machines as well as simple graphics displays.
