When IRISS introduced its VP and CAP Series polymer infrared inspection windows it substantially raised the bar against other brands. These products remain the world’s only industrial grade infrared windows but now IRISS has even more to shout about.
IRISS has become the only window manufacturer to receive formal Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification to C22.2 No. 14-10 Industrial Control Equipment – 11th Edition.
Unlike any other brand of IR windows, all IRISS VP and CAP Series components comply with applicable Canadian standards (CSA) Class 3211 37 and US standards (ANSI) 3211 97 for industrial control equipment sub-assemblies. These complement existing UL, IEEE and Lloyds certification.
This new addition is a great achievement but why is this important for specifiers in Europe, Middle East and Africa?
Increasingly projects are undertaken on a global basis so it is important that IRISS IR windows should comply with every appropriate international standard. But the CSA certification, in itself, has great significance too. It is acknowledged as one of the most stringent standards and to attain it, IRISS products underwent more than 12 months of laboratory testing.
“Certification assures both the IRISS IR window owners and distributors that every IRISS window now conforms to the highest electrical standards available,” commented Martin Robinson, CEO of IRISS. “It reinforces our determination to provide the very best quality equipment and long-term value in the marketplace.”
