bre logoA seminar on 15 April 2010 at BRE in Watford will explain the new Feed-In Tariffs (FITs), a government-backed initiative to make producing renewable energy more financially attractive.

Taking effect from 1 April 2010, Feed-In Tariffs will reward those generating and using renewable energy at their properties. This will be done through the Generation Tariff - a fixed income for every kilowatt hour of electricity generated and used in the property, and the Export Tariff - an additional fixed income for every kilowatt hour of electricity generated and sold back to the grid.

rsFollowing a review by the EC Machinery Directive Working Group on the 8th December 2009 the majority of Member States voted in favour of extending the date of cessation of presumption of conformity of EN 954-1.

EN 954-1 presumption of conformity to the Machinery Directive has been prolonged for two years, up to 31 December 2011.
